Statutory Rights

All statements, guarantees or warranties in our terms of trading are in addition to and do not affect your statutory rights.

Missing Items

Customers have two working days to report any missing items from their order. This also has to be verified by SRS Microsystems.


Prices are fully inclusive of VAT. Additional delivery charges are clearly displayed before an order is placed. All brand names are trademarks of their respective companies. Product images featured on the site are for guidance only and are not always an exact match of a product.

Availability of a product cannot be guaranteed some specialised items are not held from stock and may take a few extra days to be delivered, please check availability with SRS Microsystems if you require immediate dispatch on your order. In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is shown on our website, SRS Microsystems reserve the right to abstain from fulfilling the order at that price, you will of course be notified, at which point you will be informed of the correct price, and be given the choice to proceed with the order.

SRS Microsystems make every effort to get the original details correct, but take into consideration different situations. No contract exists between the Customer and SRS Microsystems for the sale of any goods or services until we have received and accepted your order and the we have received payment in full (in cleared funds). Once we do so, there is a binding legal contract between us. The goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the goods you have ordered are not available in stock, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, SRS Microsystems will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delays in delivery. We operate from Monday to Saturday and orders received after 4pm will be processed on the next business day. Before placing an order, the customer will be requested to accept/decline our terms and conditions. Orders will only be processed if acceptance is indicated and therefore the customer is deemed to have accepted these terms and will abide by them.


Orders dispatched by our carriers will require a signature upon receipt. Orders are sent via Parcel Force (UPS for International Orders & some UK) or Royal Mail. Orders placed before 4pm Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 4pm are dispatched the following business day.

We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by Parcel Force, UPS or Royal Mail. For all Internet orders, an e-mail is sent to advise a date of dispatch. This also serves as an acceptance of your order and notes your right to cancel your order. We cannot follow up non-delivery of orders until at least 5 days have lapsed from the date this e-mail is sent.

When placing an order by credit/debit card, goods will only be dispatched to the cardholder at the address where the credit/debit card is registered, unless Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode passwords are used during the payment process.

Your Right to cancel the purchase

If you wish cancel a purchase, you may do so within 14 days from receiving your order or within 14 days from the date of purchase of a service. You must in such case notify SRS Microsystems Ltd by email, we cannot accept returns/cancellations if we have not been notified in writing before this period has lapsed. When SRS Microsystems Ltd has confirmed the cancellation; you will be provided with a returns form for the order. The cancelled order must then be returned to the address notified to you by SRS Microsystems Ltd, within 7 days after the cancellation was made. The item(s) must be in the condition in which delivered and packed. You may open the packaging and examine the product(s). However, the item/s must be returned undamaged and properly packaged for the cancellation to be valid.

If only part of the order is returned, only a corresponding part of the purchase price will be refunded to you. SRS Microsystems Ltd will refund any payment for the purchase as soon as practicable and at the latest within 30 days. Standard delivery costs will be refunded (if applicable), but the costs of additional services that a customer specifically requested, such as gift-wrapping or express delivery will not be refunded.

Please note that the above right to cancel does not apply to software purchases.

The Customer is responsible for the cost of return carriage and insurance for all goods returned to SRS Microsystems Ltd, SRS Microsystems can however arrange a collection for a fee of £14.99.

When you return goods to us in accordance with the contract, you the customer must take reasonable care to ensure that we receive the goods and that the goods are not damaged in transit. If you do not exercise reasonable care and the goods are damaged, we may claim against you for breach of this statutory duty. If a customer fails to return the goods despite being required to by the contract, then we may claim against the customer for breach of contract.

The DSRs do not normally apply where a customer has already examined goods in store and then later orders those goods by distance means, as there is not exclusive use of distance means. The purpose of cancellation is to allow inspection when that has not been available pre-contract, and the definition of a distance contract envisages that the entire process is by distance means.

Made to order

There is no right to cancel goods that are made to the customer’s own specification. Therefore, products may not be returned if they are genuinely tailor-made products.


No liability for any claim for damage or non-functionality shall be accepted unless the purchaser notifies SRS Microsystems in writing within seven days of delivery. This period may be extended at the sole discretion of SRS Microsystems where the manufacturers' replacement exceeds this deadline. No liability for any claim for missing items such as manuals, etc. shall be accepted unless the purchaser notifies SRS Microsystems in writing within seven days of delivery. No liability for any claim will be accepted in the case of goods differing in quantity or descriptions from the particulars given on the delivery note, unless SRS Microsystems are notified in writing by the purchaser within seven days of delivery and the onus is on the purchaser to prove any shortage.

In Store Returns

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, you (the customer) may be entitled to a refund, replacement or repair where goods are faulty or not as described. In other cases, for example, where you, the consumer have changed your mind, or an item is an unwanted gift; there is normally no automatic right to return goods.

However SRS Microsystems Ltd offer a 7 day exchange for most products (see exclusions below*). All items considered for a credit note, re-stock or exchange must be returned "as new" unused and unopened condition, free of visible marks, scratches or defects, complete with all intact packaging materials/box and your original receipt. This does not affect your legal rights, including your right to claim a refund, replacement or repair where the goods are faulty or mis-described.

If the item purchased is used (second-hand), you may return the item for a full credit or exchange for any reason within seven days of the purchase date as long as returned in the same condition as was supplied and is accompanied by the purchase receipt.

Items that have been opened are subject to a re-stocking fee. After 7 days all merchandise is considered used and may be considered for trade-in purpose only.

All returns are subject to inspection and return approval by a Manager.

We reserve the right to charge for missing or damaged merchandise and parts. If we determine that an item is returnable but does not meet all our guidelines, we reserves the right to charge a restocking fee. The fee charged may vary according to the item's condition, the state of the item's packaging and the item value. The minimum restocking fee is 10% (usually between 10-25%) this is based upon the till receipt purchase price of the item only and does not cover any transport costs.

Upon approval of a return the following conditions must be met prior to a credit, re-stock or exchange:

  • The item must be accompanied by the original receipt (not a copy).
  • The total will be refunded in the fashion it was paid (credit card, debit, etc.).
  • If any refund is given by credit card or debit, the original cardholder must be present.
  • We reserve the right to refund cash purchases by cheque or gift voucher.

* We do not accept the following for refund or exchange:

  • Gift vouchers.
  • Software (if seal is broken).
  • Memory Cards.
  • Film.
  • Chemistry.
  • Batteries.
  • Bulbs.
  • Paper.
  • Non-stocked special order items.

Returned Goods (after 7 days)

SRS Microsystems will not accept goods for credit or rectification unless such return has been authorised by SRS Microsystems, and the goods are received by SRS Microsystems in stock condition with original packaging. To obtain authorisation please contact us on 01923 226602 or by email: returns@srsmicrosystems.co.uk. SRS Microsystems retain the right at our sole discretion whether to accept the return of the goods, or whether to rectify the goods or whether to issue a credit note in respect thereof.

SRS Microsystems reserves the right to charge a restocking fee on goods returned for credit that are not in stock condition. Stock condition would be described as the product being in new condition with all software and product seals intact, not damaged or marked in any way, supplied with all the original accessories and packing and not registered for warranty with the manufacturer. The purchaser shall unless otherwise stated be responsible for the cost of outward and return carriage and insurance of all goods returned by the purchaser to SRS Microsystems for service or credit.

Goods shall be at the risk of the purchaser until actual receipt of the goods by SRS Microsystems. The onus of proof of safe delivery shall rest with the purchaser.

All returned items must contain a copy of the original receipt and a returns form. All items returned to SRS Microsystems by prearrangement and found to contain no fault, will be subject to up to 25% restocking charge (for goods returned outside the 7 day cooling off period), providing the goods are in original stock condition. Any downward variation of this restocking charge shall be at the sole discretion of SRS Microsystems. No credit shall be allowed for goods until they have been received complete.

Consequential loss

The extent of the SRS Microsystems liability to the purchaser for any default or breach whatsoever and howsoever arising shall in no case exceed the invoice value of the goods and SRS Microsystems shall in no circumstances whatsoever be liable to the purchaser in respect of any loss or damage whether suffered by the purchaser and whether direct, indirect, consequential, or however else arising.


If any part of these terms and condition shall be found to be unlawful it shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of the conditions. This contract is and shall be deemed to have been made in England and shall in all respects be governed by English Law.

Online Purchasers

The purchaser is responsible for deciding on the suitability of the goods offered for any particular use and for the given in good faith by our suppliers, but SRS Microsystems do not guarantee their accuracy. Goods are subject to availability; SRS Microsystems will not be responsible for compensating the purchaser for any other losses, which may be suffered if we cannot supply the goods. Any dates specified for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and SRS Microsystems shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods.

Gift Vouchers

  1. Gift Vouchers cannot be used to pay for further Gift Vouchers.
  2. Gift Vouchers have no cash redemption value.
  3. Change is not given on purchases that cost less than the value of the Gift Voucher presented.
  4. If the order exceeds the amount of the Gift Voucher, the balance must be paid by suitable means i.e. credit/debit card, credit note (or cash if in store).
  5. Normal terms and conditions of purchase apply
  6. One or more Gift Vouchers can be redeemed against an order.
  7. We are not responsible if a Gift Voucher is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
  8. Gift Vouchers will be subject to verification at time of presentation and we reserve the right not to accept any vouchers that have or appear to have been forged, damaged, defaced or otherwise tampered with.
