Website Returns

Subject to the right of consumers to return goods for refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, SRS Microsystems Ltd does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.

We offer customers the opportunity to return goods up to 14 days after receipt (“the Returns Period”), subject to the terms and conditions in this returns policy.

You must prior to returning any goods received, contact our customer support team or by completing our online form to obtain an RMA number. Failure to contact us in respect of a return or cancellation in line with one of the methods set out above will result in a delay in processing your refund or the product being returned to you. All authorised returns must be returned to Returns Department, SRS Microsystems Ltd, 90-92 The Parade, High Street, Watford, Herts WD17 1AW

If you exercise your right to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to SRS Microsystems Ltd (within 14 days of notifying us) at your own risk and cost, therefore we strongly recommend you use an insured delivery method, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. For items which cannot ordinarily be returned by post, we will at your request use our reasonable endeavours to arrange a courier to collect the goods; the estimated maximum cost of this would be £15 per item. (See below in relation to the return of faulty goods.)

All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the Web Site.
  • Your item is complete and in 'as new' saleable condition:
  • If you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging
  • You haven't used the item
  • The item contains no personal data and hasn't been registered to a user
  • The item must be returned within 14 days of you requesting to return it.
  • While you have to pay to return the goods, we will refund the standard delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place (if you paid for delivery). If you opted for an enhanced service e.g before 9am, we will only refund the standard delivery cost.
  • Any use of the product is relative to examining it, and ensuring it suits your needs. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop. SRS Microsystems Ltd does not sell products on a trial basis.
  • A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. We may refuse the return of items without the original packaging or where it has been returned in poor condition.
  • Software, memory cards and DVDs can only be accepted if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988. All opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Software that arrives damaged or is physically faulty may be returned under our normal returns policy.
  • It is returned with the original box, packing and any accessories you received with it.
  • A proof of purchase must be supplied.
  • You also return any free gifts which came with the product, which also must be in their original packaging and in a saleable condition
  • We will not refund any items that have been specially ordered to your individual specification or personalised.
  • The item has not had any cashback claimed (if applicable)
  • Any free gift dependant on purchase must be returned with the original item.
  • Gift Vouchers are not eligible for exchange or refund
Until such time as you return the goods to us you must take reasonable care of the item(s). Any use of or damage to the delivered goods or product packaging beyond that necessary to inspect the goods upon delivery may result in you incurring a restocking charge to cover the loss that we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item(s). We may refuse the return of items without the original packaging or where it has been returned in poor condition.

Subject to the above, if you exercise your right to cancel your order within 14 days (where the goods are not found to be faulty), we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

Faulty goods: For faulty goods we offer the following terms:
  • You will always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery.
  • If the fault has occurred within the first six months after delivery but after the first 30 days, you can ask us to repair or replace faulty goods. However, we can, choose the solution that is more proportionate or practical for us. In the majority of cases, we will send an item for repair in the first instance. If the repair is unsuccessful, you can then claim a replacement or a full refund. Alternatively we will seek to agree a price reduction with you if you wish to keep the product.
  • After six months, unless you can demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of original delivery or we have previously arranged a repair and this has failed to resolve the fault, our liability will be limited to providing you with reasonable support to make a claim under the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.
In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault and, if no fault is found, return the product to you. In these circumstances, no refund will be processed until the returned goods have been received by us and an appraisal made as to any fault. This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

Any refund due to a fault or other defect will include a refund of the delivery charge. In such circumstances we will also pay for your costs of returning the goods (up to £10 in the UK and £20 outside the UK). Beyond six months you will be responsible for covering the costs of returning the goods (unless you have been able to establish that the goods were defective at the time of original delivery, in which case we will reimburse your costs as set out above). We strongly recommend you use an insured method such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only (i.e. premium services are not available).

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned products.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. Details of your statutory rights are available from the citizens advice bureau or consumer direct.

Nikon Speedlight SB-5000 Flash

Season:New

Brand:Nikon

Code:FSA04301

Fast, reliable, and versatile, the Nikon SB-5000 offers unparalleled lighting performance in the field and the studio. Radio signals allow working distances of 30m and enable complex on- and off-camera setups: now you can work in any environment in which the line of sight is obstructed or an optical signal might be weakened by bright sunlight. The onboard cooling system allows more than 100 rapid-fire shots to be captured with the flash operating at full power. And for photographers who can’t lose a moment when the story breaks, the light, compact Nikon SB-5000 features uncluttered controls for intuitive operation.

Professional speedlight for unparalleled lighting performance

Engineered to meet the demands of professionals in the field or in the studio, the Nikon SB-5000 is an i-TTL Speedlight compatible with FX and DX-format D-SLRs. This Speedlight operates as a hot sh mounted flash unit, wireless commander or remote unit and is part of the Nikon Creative Lighting System. This is the first Nikon Speedlight to offer wireless radio control, which removes the need for a direct line of sight between the master and the slave and increases reliability when shooting in bright sunlight. For rapid-fire situations, Nikon’s new built-in cooling system increases the number of consecutive firings and eliminates unnecessary cut offs. Other features include a guide number of 34.5, and a wide FX-format zoom range of 24-200mm (14mm with wide panel). Streamlined controls and menus ensure smooth operation while the compact, lightweight design provide  comfortable on-camera use. Three illumination patterns offer total control over flash coverage for specific shooting environments. The built-in wide panel and bounce card, plus the supplied diffuser dome, combine with Nikon’s optional colour filters to extend your creative options further.

Control in demanding situations: radio-controlled advanced wireless lighting

Built to conquer difficult shooting situations, the Nikon SB-5000 fully supports the new radio-control function in Nikon’s Creative Lighting System. Now you can fire single or multiple flashgun setups using the SB-5000 and the WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller. The Nikon SB-5000’s ability to respond flexibly to remote lighting challenges lets you create and control almost any flash setup, including complex multiple arrangements. When partnered with the WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller, up to six groupings of SB-5000 units are supported. Optical control is also fully supported, which means legacy Speedlights can still be used for multiple flash setups.

The professional speedlight that stays cool, shot after shot after shot

From the red carpet to the runway, the Nikon SB-5000 is engineered to stay cool under pressure. In order to handle rapid-fire situations, the SB-5000 incorporates Nikon’s new Speedlight cooling system—a world first in onboard temperature control for clip-on compact units. Fast and reliable, it achieves an extraordinary 120 shots at 5-second intervals, or 84 shots at 3-second intervals. More than 100 consecutive shots can be captured with the flash operating at full power. The system suppresses heat generation within the flash head to prevent it from overheating: thermal protection has never been better.

Seamless integration with nikon's acclaimed creative lighting system

At the heart of the SB-5000 is Nikon’s i-TTL (intelligent Through-The-Lens) flash control, which enables Nikon Speedlights to share critical exposure information with CLS compatible D-SLRs. The SB-5000 can be radio controlled as part of an Advanced Wireless Lighting setup or controlled traditionally using line-of-sight optical control. Operational refinements include unified flash control, which adds an extra level of system control. Now you can operate the SB-5000 or change its settings from the camera menu, or a computer running Camera Control Pro 2, when the unit is attached to the camera body.

Compact build, uncluttered control

Lighter than its predecessor and more intuitive to operate, the SB-5000 has been redesigned with convenience in mind. You’ll notice the difference as soon as you fit the SB-5000 to your camera, or pack it in your travel bag: the compact flash body weighs in at just 420 g. The uncluttered control panel allows for a large and easily legible information display. The rotary multi-selector and the ‘i’ button give quick access to commonly used or personalised functions: for instance, the ‘i’ button instantly displays key flash settings for single flash photography or Advanced Wireless Lighting as a list. As with its predecessor, the SB-5000’s flash head tilts down to 7° or up to 90°, and rotates 180° horizontally to the left and right.
