Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.

We offer customers the opportunity to return goods up to 14 days after receipt (“the Returns Period”), subject to the terms and conditions in this returns policy.

You must prior to returning any goods received, contact our customer support team or by completing our online form to obtain an RMA number. Failure to contact us in respect of a return or cancellation in line with one of the methods set out above will result in a delay in processing your refund or the product being returned to you. All authorised returns must be returned to Returns Department, SRS Microsystems Ltd, 90-92 The Parade, High Street, Watford, Herts WD17 1AW

If you exercise your right to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to SRS Microsystems Ltd (within 14 days of notifying us) at your own risk and cost, therefore we strongly recommend you use an insured delivery method, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. For items which cannot ordinarily be returned by post, we will at your request use our reasonable endeavours to arrange a courier to collect the goods; the estimated maximum cost of this would be £15 per item. (See below in relation to the return of faulty goods.)

All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the Web Site.
  • Your item is complete and in 'as new' saleable condition:
  • If you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging
  • You haven't used the item
  • The item contains no personal data and hasn't been registered to a user
  • The item must be returned within 14 days of you requesting to return it.
  • While you have to pay to return the goods, we will refund the standard delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place (if you paid for delivery). If you opted for an enhanced service e.g before 9am, we will only refund the standard delivery cost.
  • Any use of the product is relative to examining it, and ensuring it suits your needs. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop. SRS Microsystems Ltd does not sell products on a trial basis.
  • A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. We may refuse the return of items without the original packaging or where it has been returned in poor condition.
  • Software, memory cards and DVDs can only be accepted if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988. All opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Software that arrives damaged or is physically faulty may be returned under our normal returns policy.

  • A proof of purchase must be supplied.
  • You also return any free gifts which came with the product, which also must be in their original packaging and in a saleable condition
  • We will not refund any items that have been specially ordered to your individual specification or personalised.
  • The item has not had any cashback claimed (if applicable)
  • Any free gift dependant on purchase must be returned with the original item.
  • Gift Vouchers are not eligible for exchange or refund
Until such time as you return the goods to us you must take reasonable care of the item(s). Any use of or damage to the delivered goods or product packaging beyond that necessary to inspect the goods upon delivery may result in you incurring a restocking charge to cover the loss that we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item(s). We may refuse the return of items without the original packaging or where it has been returned in poor condition.

Subject to the above, if you exercise your right to cancel your order within 14 days (where the goods are not found to be faulty), we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

Faulty goods: For faulty goods we offer the following terms:
  • You will always have the option of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery.
  • If the fault has occurred within the first six months after delivery but after the first 30 days, you can ask us to repair or replace faulty goods. However, we can, choose the solution that is more proportionate or practical for us. In the majority of cases, we will send an item for repair in the first instance. If the repair is unsuccessful, you can then claim a replacement or a full refund. Alternatively we will seek to agree a price reduction with you if you wish to keep the product.
  • After six months, unless you can demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of original delivery or we have previously arranged a repair and this has failed to resolve the fault, our liability will be limited to providing you with reasonable support to make a claim under the manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.
In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault and, if no fault is found, return the product to you. In these circumstances, no refund will be processed until the returned goods have been received by us and an appraisal made as to any fault. This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

Any refund due to a fault or other defect will include a refund of the delivery charge. In such circumstances we will also pay for your costs of returning the goods (up to £10 in the UK and £20 outside the UK). Beyond six months you will be responsible for covering the costs of returning the goods (unless you have been able to establish that the goods were defective at the time of original delivery, in which case we will reimburse your costs as set out above). We strongly recommend you use an insured method such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only (i.e. premium services are not available).

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned products.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. Details of your statutory rights are available from the citizens advice bureau or consumer direct.

Sony Alpha A6300 Digital Camera Body in Black

Season:Current

Brand:Sony

Code:139533

The much-anticipated follow-up to the popular Sony Alpha A6000, the Sony Alpha A6300 digital camera sits at the top of Sony's APS-C mirrorless line-up as the flagship model for serious/enthusiast photographers. The newly developed 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor works together with the BIONZ X image-processing engine to produce internal 4K video capture with full pixel readout, high-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps and outstanding image quality throughout the entire ISO sensitivity range ISO 100-51,200. The A6300 camera also boasts an advanced 4D FOCUS AF system with 425 phase-detection AF points that can lock focus on a subject in as little as 0.05 seconds.

24.2 MP8 Exmor CMOS image sensor

The new 24.2 MP8 Exmor CMOS sensor raises the bar of imaging performance. Its copper wiring and enhanced circuitry make it possible to lower the wiring layer and boost light collection efficiency, in order to capture low-noise images with a wide sensitivity range up to ISO 512009. The use of copper raises readout speed as well as the potential of advanced 4K and Full HD 120fps shooting.

High-speed BIONZ X image processing engine

How do the superior speed, power and efficiency of the BIONZ X image processor unleash the potential and sensitivity of the new image sensor? With an algorithm optimized for the new image sensor to provide stills and movies with unrivaled resolution and reproduce greater texture and detail, particularly at mid-to-high ISO settings.

425 phase-detection AF points

With the world's most10 (425)10 focal plane phase-detection AF points helping to provide distinctively wide and dense AF point coverage, the a6300 focuses more accurately, efficiently, and reliably on subjects throughout the frame.

High-speed live-view continuous shooting

Clearly capture action with high-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps. Or choose among three speeds up to 8fps, according to the shooting situation, for live-view continuous shooting with very little lag on the EVF or LCD screen, to get the sense of immediacy of shooting with an optical viewfinder.

High-density Tracking AF Technology

For supremely reliable accuracy and tracking stability, new High-density Tracking AF Technology activates AF points to cover the area around the subject with about 7.5 times as much density as the 6000. Only this focal plane phase-detection autofocus function can seamlessly activate AF points and track subjects moving within frame with such unerring precision.

0.0511 s fast AF

The a6300 achieves the world's fastest (0.05 s) AF speed with the enhanced Fast Hybrid AF's integrated autofocusing performance and the uncanny efficiency of the BIONZ X image processing engine to handle so much information with astonishing accuracy.

4K movie recording

4K movie recording in the Super 35 mm format with full pixel readout and no pixel binning allows about 2.4 times as much information as is basically required for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). Data this rich is, in fact, equivalent to 6K data, so it clearly conveys the ultimate resolution in 4K images.

XGA OLED Tru-Finder

The a6300 introduces a high-contrast, high-resolution, high-visibility XGA OLED Tru-Finder that reproduces darkness and color in very fine detail, as well as a mode to display images at the higher frame rate of 120fps (100fps), so you can see action smoothly and track it easily on this electronic viewfinder.

Focal plane phase-detection AF for A-mount lenses

The a6300 offers focal plane phase-detection AF even when an A-mount lens is mounted using a mount adapter (LA-EA3) from Sony. So you can take advantage of the autofocus system™s uniquely wide coverage provided by 425 focal plane phase-detection AF points, as well as fast, fluid tracking performance when shooting with other lenses as well as E-mount lenses.

Silent shooting

Silent Shooting mode releases the shutter without a sound, even in continuous shooting up to about 3fps with AF/AE tracking, so it's very convenient for shooting indoor performances, outdoor wildlife, and in other situations where silence is essential. To turn this mode on/off more intuitively and less intrusively, assign it to a customizable button.

S-Gamut/S-Log shooting

S-Gamut/S-Log shooting give you flexibility to make more expressive movies by performing color grading in post-production. The S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamma curves feature wide dynamic range (up to 1300%) to minimise whiteout and blackout. The a6300 even offers impressive 14-stop latitude in S-Log3 gamma setting. The camera also supports S-Gamut, S-Gamut3, and S-Gamut3. Cine colour space from Sony. *S-Log2 and S-Log3 are premised on processing pictures.

Full HD 120fps shooting and 4x/5x slow motion recording

You can shoot high-quality Full HD footage, even in Full HD 120fps (100fps) high-speed shooting with AF tracking at a high bitrate up to 100 Mbps. Otherwise, the camera can record 4x/5x slow motion movies internally when the frame rate is set at 30p (25p) or 24p.

Enhanced Fast Hybrid AF for movies

Fast Hybrid AF makes movie autofocus exceptionally precise, so it™s especially valuable for 4K recording. In addition to a very dense phase-detection AF point array, this system in the a6300 features adjustable AF Drive Speed and AF Tracking Sensitivity to help you express more creativity by manipulating focus, as far as conditions and your imagination allow.

AF in Focus Magnifier

You can use autofocus even while enlarging a selected image area on the viewfinder or LCD screen, for finer adjustment of focus, for example. Excellent for macro shooting, when accurate focusing is crucial.

One-touch remote/One-touch sharing

One-touch remote makes your smartphone or tablet a viewfinder/remote control. One-touch sharing transfers photos/videos to your device for SNS sharing. Just install a PlayMemories Mobile app via Wi-Fi® to your NFC-enabled Android device, then touch the device to the camera to connect them. No NFC? No problem. New QR code compatibility can also pair the devices.

Lock-on AF

This function maintains focus on a moving subject automatically. Simply align the target frame and the subject to be tracked, and press the center button. If you lose track of the subject, the camera can detect that subject and resume the Lock-on AF function when the subject reappears on the screen.

Eye AF in AF-C mode

Eye AF is now available in AF-C mode in this camera. This means it automatically focuses on and even tracks focus on a subject™s eye, as the face moves, extending your freedom to frame a shot.

Expand Flexible Spot

When the selected AF point loses track of or is not positioned on a moving subject, Expand Flexible Spot function automatically directs surrounding AF points to restore focus instantly on that subject.

High sound quality (microphone terminal, XLR adapter kit)

In addition to plug-in microphones, the camera supports line input from professional-standard audio devices with XLR terminal, with use of a separately sold XLR adapter kit (XLR-K2M/XLR-K1M) that enables connection with various high-end microphones. That way, you can make fine audio setting adjustments and high-quality/low-noise sound recordings worthy of serious movie shooting.

Gamma Display Assist

With this function, you can view images with natural contrast while recording in S-Log gamma setting, converting S-Log2 and S-Log3 into ITU709 (800%) gamma for monitoring images, or checking focus while enlarging an image on the LCD screen or viewfinder.

Clean HDMI output

This function supports 4K and Full HD, and allows uncompressed movies to be output to an external recorder or monitor. The image can also be recorded in the camera even while signals are output using this function.

Dust and moisture resistance

Enjoy carefree shooting in tough environments, thanks to comprehensive dust and moisture resistance measures that help prevent water and dust from entering the body. These measures include sealing around the buttons and dials, as well as a protective double-layered structure that tightly interlocks panels and components.

Tough magnesium alloy body

With internal frames, rear cover, top cover and front cover constructed of magnesium alloy, the robust, rigid, light body of the a6300 is stronger than that of its predecessors. Designed for solid reliability and steady handling, this compact form readily withstands the rigors of shooting in the field.

Enhanced Zebra function

Simplify exposure monitoring, especially when shooting in S-Log gamma setting. Target a video signal brightness level from 0-109%, set a range between +10% and -10% of that value, and zebra pattern indicates areas with that level of exposure within that range. New minimum brightness level setting reliably warns you to avoid blown-out highlights.

14-bit RAW output

For RAW recording, 14-bit RAW output and 16-bit image processing help preserve maximum detail and produce images of the highest quality with rich tonal gradations. The 14-bit RAW (Sony ARW) format ensures optimal quality for later image adjustment (via Image Data Converter or other software).

Power supply via USB

Camera operation can be powered via USB connection to a PC or mobile battery. This conserves the camera battery, extending the length of time that the camera can be used before the battery is depleted. When the camera is turned off, the battery can be charged via the same connection.

Robust lens mount

The strength and rigidity of the camera body and lens mount provide an especially solid foundation for mounting and withstanding rugged use with even large, heavy lenses such as telephoto lenses and lenses preferred for movie shooting.

PlayMemories Camera Apps

Express photographs more creatively with this application download service that lets you add new functions to your camera™s feature set. Choose among Time-lapse for recording images at intervals and combining them, Smart Remote Control for control of settings from a smartphone or tablet, Sky HDR (high-dynamic-range-imaging), Star Trail, Liveview Grading, Smooth Reflection and other apps.

ISO Auto Minimum Shutter Speed

Prevent blur in a shot of a moving subject by setting a shutter speed at which ISO sensitivity starts changing when ISO AUTO (while in P or A mode, or in Multi Frame NR) is selected.

Bright Monitoring

This function that boosts image brightness by changing shutter speed, for example, can be assigned to a customizable button for easy access when shooting a starry sky or other dark scene.
