Your hire period starts on the first day of your chosen hire period. You will then need to return the equipment to us the day after your hire period ends. For example, if you hire equipment for three days starting on a Saturday, we will deliver the equipment to you on the Friday, or you can collect from store. We then ask that you return it to us or we will arrange collection on the Tuesday (the day after your hire period ends). We will arrange for the equipment to be collected, or you can return to store.
In the event that your hire period ends on a Saturday you will need to arrange for the equipment to be returned on Monday morning.
The hire period can easily be extended as long as another customer has not already booked the lens. The additional hire cost, will be calculated according to the number of days you require. If you would like to extend your hire period please contact us as soon as possible.
You can cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch. There is no cancellation fee provided you do so within seven days before commencement of the hire period. A cancellation charge will apply if you cancel within 7 days of the start of the hire period, a £20 administration fee will be charged, to cover booked delivery and collection charges.
You can return the lens any time you like before the end of the hire period, although we are unable to offer a refund for unused days.
You can hire up to a maximum of three lenses at any one time. There is no discount for hiring multiple lenses.
Yes, subject to certain terms and conditions. For insurance purposes we ask that you inform us if you are taking the lens abroad. Please let us know the dates and country you will be travelling to when placing your order. We may contact you to confirm the details and we reserve the right to charge a deposit for the full cost of the lens in certain circumstances. The deposit will be refunded upon the safe return of the lens at the end of the hire period.
VAT is included in the cost of the hire and you will receive a VAT receipt.
If it is more convenient you can collect and return the lens from our store.
Collections can take place between 9.00-17:30 Monday to Saturday (18.30 on Thursday) we are closed on Sunday. We will need proof of address and a form of photo ID when you collect.
We are able to deliver to any UK address. You will be asked to specify the delivery address when ordering. In some instances, we reserve the right to charge a deposit for the lens if it is being delivered to a different address. The lens will need to be signed for on delivery.
The courier company that handles our deliveries will attempt to deliver the lens to your delivery address. If you are not in to sign for the parcel they will leave a card and take it to your local post office or sorting office for you to collect.
Please contact us immediately if a lens has not arrived by the start of your hire period. We will do everything we can to resolve this situation to your satisfaction. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for delayed deliveries by couriers, although we are happy to amend your hire dates if there is a delay in delivery and it has not been hired elsewhere.
Please keep the packaging/box etc in order to re-use for returning the lens. Collection will be arranged on the day after your hire period ends. A courier will collect the lens from the same address that it was delivered to (unless advised whilst differently when arranging the hire) they will have the necessary labels (please scrub out the original delivery details on the box). You can also return in store if previously arranged. If it is more convenient to send yourself, please make sure it is returned the day after the hire period finishes, and it is packed correctly and is sent insured/signed for service, we do not refund postage if you choose to return by this method.
If the rental equipment is returned late we reserve the right to charge postage to cover our unsuccessful collection and daily hire rate until we have safe receipt of the equipment. If the late return is due to the courier company, there will be no extra charge.
In the event that you experience problems returning the lens on the required day please let us know immediately.
In the event of the lens incurring damage of any kind, please contact us and arrange to return the lens, or other equipment, for repair. Similarly, if the lens should be lost or stolen, please contact us immediately.
Our hire lenses are covered by insurance, but please note that the insurance does not cover for any loss or damage, which is a direct result of negligence. While in your care you are obliged to ensure that any equipment that you hire is secure and safe at all times, is never left unattended in a public place or in an unattended vehicle.
We ask is that you make every endeavour to ensure the lens remains safe and secure and is returned to us at the end of the period.
Yes - the excess on all lenses and other equipment hired from us is £150 + VAT
