The Olympus E-P2 picks up the standard set with Olympus' EP-1 Micro FourThirds camera and runs with it. Like the EP-1 it boasts a 12.3 Megapixel Live MOS sensor and a processing engine that guarantees professional image quality at up to an incredible ISO 6400, is capable of recording high-resolution HD video (1280x720p) at 30fps, and is compatible with the expanding range of quality Micro FourThirds lenses. New for the EP-2 is a dedicated accessory port which supplements the hot shoe and allows the use of the new electronic viewfinder and external microphone. The optional EVF (electronic viewfinder) offers a 100% field of view and is tiltable up to 90 degrees, making it invaluable for low level work like macro and improving ease of composition for all photography. The optional external microphone adapter allows you to use an external microphone direct at the source of sound to improve sound quality in HD movies.
